On behalf of Rock Ministries (NI) Trust, we would like to congratulate Angela Trimble and Innes Young and thank them so much for running the Great North Run on behalf of our charity. They did a wonderful job and in such a good time.

It’s always wonderful when someone learns about the work we do and decides to raise some money to help those less fortunate than ourselves. We support under-privileged children and families in Rwanda and Uganda and one of our projects in Uganda will benefit greatly from the encouraging sum of £1,445 which has been raised. We have been working closely with a number of schools for some years now and we sponsor many children to go to school. We also help widows and single parents to set up little mini-businesses which can help to make them somewhat self-sufficient, so Angela and Innes can be assured that all their effort and hard work will be of great benefit to these projects. We would like to thank all those who sponsored Angela and Innes for the run and let them know how useful their money is going to be and that it will make such a difference. That is exactly why we are running our charity – to make a difference!

So a big thank you must go to both Angela and Innes once again for their thoughtfulness and their determination to run this half marathon for the benefit of these needy folks in Uganda. Also our sincere thanks to all those who contributed. We will be happy to talk to anyone who may consider helping us further or undertaking a similar sponsored event!
