Recycle your phone, Save the Planet, Help the Trust
You can now help to care for your environment and raise money for Rock Ministries (NI) Trust at the same time! We have recently joined forces with Recycle4Charity, a fund-raising tool for charities.
As a charitable organisation, we would encourage everyone to recycle and now we have a personal reason for encouraging our friends and supporters to recycle as they can help raise money for our work in Africa! Each year thousands of printer cartridges and mobile phones are used and disposed of instead of being offered for recycling.
Recycle4Charity is an organisation which is prepared to recycle these ink cartridges and mobile phones and will contribute to our charity for each item received. They are prepared to offer up to £1 for every ink jet cartridge received and up to £30 for every mobile phone. The best thing about this scheme is that it costs you nothing! You simply put the cartridge or phone in a freepost envelope and post it. So when those cartridges are finished, don’t throw them in the bin – put them in a Recycle4Charity envelope and post them. The same applies to those old mobile phones – don’t just stuff them in a drawer but rather put them in the envelope and post them too. We can supply you with the envelopes which have our charity details on it so that they know where to allocate the money. Please get in touch if you would like some envelopes. (We do intend to enclose one with our next newsletter.) When you post the envelope there is a section for you to complete to request more envelopes. You can use your own envelope, making sure that you quote ‘Rock Ministries (NI) Trust C2848’. This organisation also supplies collection boxes for use in large organisations, schools, offices etc so why not ask if they would be willing to allow a collection box to be used?
