Marathon Man John McDonald hits Belfast streets for Ugandans

John (on left) ran a good race in BelfastJohn McDonald, one of our sponsors completed the Belfast Marathon on Bank Holiday Monday and raised the very encouraging sum of £430 for Rock Ministries (NI) Trust. John completed the course in 4 hours and 12 minutes and we send him our congratulations for this wonderful achievement and also pass on our sincere thanks for raising money for the under-privileged in Uganda. John and his wife have been avid supporters over recent years. The money which John has raised will be going towards the development of education for the orphaned children through schools and vocational projects, including agriculture, in an effort to move towards self-sufficiency. This is not John's first marathon but we are so pleased that he decided to raise funds for our work in Uganda this time round. So we say a BIG THANK YOU to John and he can be assured that his fund-raising can make a big difference for the under-privileged people with whom we work in Africa. Did you ever think of running a marathon, or even a half marathon, for a good cause? Perhaps John's example may encourage you to do the same and raise some much needed funds for the work in which we are involved with the needy and under-privileged of Africa. You don't need to complete a full marathon - you could take part in a relay or in a fun run. Whatever you are able to do, please consider doing it for Rock Ministries (NI) Trust and help to make a difference for these needy people who are so much less fortunate than ourselves in the West. THINK ABOUT IT AND GET IN TOUCH WITH US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU.
