Nationwide Award for one of our supporters

Frankie Cunningham from Dervock has been awarded a Nationwide Award and Rock Ministries (NI) Trust has benefited as a result!

Frankie has won awards before for his unselfish work in the voluntary sector, for his Community Association and his home village of Dervock but this Nationwide Award must be the pinnacle of his achievements to date He was invited to Lords Cricket Ground in London to the National Gala Ceremony for the Nationwide Awards for Voluntary Endeavour last November to receive his award. The award was presented by the well-known newsreader, Nick Owens and co-presented by Graham Beale of nationwide. The citation on Frankie’s award read, “Frankie is the instigator of much within his community. Working in a voluntary capacity he secured support through a personal development programme enabling him to begin working with young people in the community. He secured premises where a wide range of social, economic and environmental projects were initiated, all through the efforts, imagination and enthusiasm of Frankie. He has the drive and vision to not just imagine, but to create a better future for all in his community.” As well as being presented with a beautiful trophy, Frankie was also awarded a total of £500.00 towards charities of his choice. The ones chosen by Frankie are Rock Ministries (NI) Trust and the CLIC Sargent Children’s Leukaemia charity.
